Its application is as a secondary seal, as it does not have a spring, so its sealing force is lower. It is generally used next to bearings to protect against dust and dirt, or as a grease seal, based on the direction of assembly.
Suitable for applications with pressure, such as hydraulic motors and pumps. It can even work up to 10 bar in optimal conditions, on the basis of working velocity and shaft diameter.
